Life Images Hosted by Google at Media Center

The Life magazine archive was posted online last week, hosted by Google.

The archive dates back to the 1860s but mostly covers the 20th century with never-before-seen images of any historic topic you can dream up.

Marilyn Monroe, NASA missions, JFK’s assassination, past Olympics, surfing in the 1960s and on and on are all available for browsing.

It’s a fascinating look back through history... Check it out Here

Onexposure also offers a premium membership, which includes unlimited image hosting and your own professional homepage with complete control over what photos to display.

How The Rights To Your Photo Are Being Hijacked

So you’ve got this incredible image that you’ve got to show the world.

Not only are you going to share it with your friends online, but you’re also going to enter it in a contest or two to win some fabulous prizes.

Well before you do I recommend reading the fine print, that includes the the Terms of Use (ToU) for web sites and Contest Rules for, you guessed it, photo contests...Full Article Here

Ken Rockwell's Nikon D40 User's Guide

This lengthy article will teach you to be an expert on the Nikon D40's controls and menus. It also includes a lot of tips, tricks, and the settings I prefer to use. To get great photos you still need to get yourself to the right place at the right time and point the camera in the right direction, which is a lot harder than mastering the D40.

Isn't this article WAY out of date? Like by almost 2 years!

Well it is not about freshness it's about helpful resources as people are still buying D40's.

It may be Old to you but not necessarily to someone that just got a D40.

Nikon AF-S VR 70-200mm F2.8 G comparison review

This review forms part of a series in which we'll be looking at the performance of several 70-200mm F2.8 zooms, using both 35mm full-frame and APS-C format cameras.

Specifically, we'll be investigating how the two well-established 70-200mm F2.8 professional workhorse lenses from Canon and Nikon compare to the latest third party competition, with both Sigma and Tamron releasing new models in the opening months of 2008.
