Nikon Capture NX, first look

Capture NX is an evolutionary rather revolutionary product. Nikon Capture just prior to the release of NX was on it’s 4th revision as a raw converter. NX could have been just renamed to version 5, but by using the NX name Nikon made it clear that there was something new in this release. NIK Software co developed NX with Nikon, perhaps another reason for the name. Regardless, NX has had several functions that take it on its first step towards becoming the all in one image editor....Here

Lightroom - Removing spots

One of the annoyances of digital cameras with interchangeable lenses is dust on the sensor. The sensor can be like a magnet for dust when changing lenses and it needs to be cleaned from time to time. Some modern cameras have built in technology to avoid dust on the sensor but many cameras don’t..Full Article...Here

OT: Posts may be delayed due to My Wireless

MetroFi SideGuide: Always On Intrusion

As a result of my Free MetroFi connection has change the way they treat my connection with intrusive and always On tracking of my habits which I find offensive.

I have found that they are still letting people on with linux boxes without the need for the MSN Sidebar requirement.

So I am creating a dual-boot system with Ubuntu to work from.
I have the basic system installed and will be tweaking and customizing it over the rest of the week.

I am telling you this in case it impacts me posting or responding to your emails. I will respond to flickrmail and continue to post tho there may be delays.

Thanks for all the postive feedback I have recieved so far.

First Look Review

Nikon Capture NX Software
for Nikon Digital SLR
First Look Review

Although Nikon Capture NX is ideally geared towards post processing the Nikon Electronic Format (NEF) files created by such cameras as the Nikon D40x, Nikon D80 and Nikon D200 digital SLR's, for the first time, Nikon Capture version NX processing can now be applied to JPEG and TIFF images. (with some limitations compared to NEF)

Nikon Capture NX for Nikon digital SLR's enables a full non-destructive image editing workflow, and provides a number of new features, including Color Control Points powered by U Point™ technology, selection tools for image adjustments, improved batch processing, and full support for ICC based color management....Full Review...Here
